Leaving the school without notifying the staff and obtaining permission to do so is not acceptable. This applies to everyone and the students who went to Milan will be punished for doing so.
If you need to leave the school for a legitimate reason such as a family emergency, then come talk to me and I will arrange it for you. This isn't a police state but while you attend this school we are responsible for you safety as well as your education.

I regret that I have to be the one to officially share this news with the school, but we have to clear up these rumours that are going around but Calvin Rankin died of natural causes as the result of a brain aneurism caused by his powers. I know a lot of rumours have been passed around about what happened, but I'm afraid this is true. It goes without saying that he will be missed painfully by the school as an institution and by us, as a community, a family and as individuals.
Further, Artie Maddicks is currently in a coma in the medlabs as a direct result of Cal's powers, but he is stable at the moment. We're asking that everyone stay clear of the medlabs at this time, understandably. I promise we will keep you updated on his condition as it develops.
Any student that feels they need to talk about how any of this affects them can come down to my office; my schedule is cleared for the whole day and the evening. Classes are cancelled for the rest of the day, but will be back in session tomorrow. There will be a memorial on Friday. Please try to support one another at this difficult time, and be understanding of each other's feelings.
